February 25, 2007 – AAGS hosts Annual Heritage Dinner
AAGS members and guests had a terrific time while paying homage to their forebears. With the theme of “Seven Generations,” participants enjoyed a stimulating dramatization by the talented Carmine Burkett, who imparted history as she depicted the lives of African and African-American ancestors from pre- to post-slavery. The group also enjoyed food, music, and genealogical projects from members representing their personal “seven generations.”
