Week of April 25, 2005 - Tri-C Diversity Week
The AAGS Education Committee participated in Diversity Day activities at the Cuyahoga Community College-Western campus and District Office, offering a glimpse of African-American heritage with a booth on genealogy.

The quilt of AAGS member Mildred Whitmore (photo at right) reaped many compliments, as passersby were fascinated with its distinctive styling and workmanship.

AAGS also supported the day's activities with a skit by Dr. Deborah Abbott related to passage through the "underground railroad." (photo at left)
