Past Event Review

June 28, 2003 Bvenita Williams (left) guided us through "Researching the 1930 Census." She provided a step-by-step breakdown of the census -- noting differences from previous censuses and offering tips for interpretation. Her presentation included additional references and 'next steps' for the researcher. The knowledge Bvenita shared regarding the census, the Soundex, and the geographic method to use for states not on the Soundex, will make our 'legwork' much easier. And those who (by choice or necessity) cannot carry out the 'legwork' in person will find the info related to on-line research very beneficial. She is shown in the photo with AAGS member Barbara Cloud.
