May 12, 2006 - Mothers Discover Genealogy at East Cleveland Celebration
East Cleveland held its "First Annual Mother's Day Celebration" under the
administration of Mayor Eric Brewer. The Helen S. Brown Senior Center was
filled with women who, among other presentations, received AAGS Education
Committee Chair Casandra Brown with great interest and enthusiasm. They
responded to her information and handouts, asked meaningful questions,
offered interesting commentary, and inquired about AAGS meetings.
Overall, the attendees were quite stimulated. They displayed a genuine
"awakening" as to how and why they really needed to begin to document
