November 19, 2005 - New WRHS Curator of African American Archives
At the November 2005 general meeting, Ms. Hall shared some of her views
for the direction of the WRHS collections and graciously responded to the
group's questions.
The forward-looking curator expressed the desire to have more of the collections digitized, on-line and available to the public. She noted that WRHS is planning an exhibit for Nov. 2006 featuring the life work of prominent Cleveland citizens -- honoring (former Mayor) Carl and (former Congressman) Louis Stokes. Also, a 2008 exhibit will center around two Cleveland neighborhoods -- Tremont and Fairfax.
Susan Hall's background includes degrees in history and communications and experience in public relations, diversity, research, and city-wide community projects.
Ms. Hall clarified WRHS Library/Archives mission/functions, was very informative and open to comments and ideas. AAGS was appreciative of her time.
